Mariah Carey has been sued by her former manager for allegedly violating her civil rights.

Stella Stolper claims that Carey violated the U.S. Civil Rights Act and the Fair Employment and Housing Act when she let her go last April. Stolper is also claiming breach of contract over the large sum of money she says Mariah still owes her.

After letting several members of her team go last year, Carey said in a statement, “I dismissed a majority of my team because I discovered that they didn’t have my best interests at heart. My new team…are the top of the line in the entertainment business and, more importantly, in my life, and I am now much more financially successful and more organized than in the past.”
