Each year, there are periods that the pantry and operational needs, call out to the community for help, and this is one of them.
Last year, they served over 26,000 meals and boarded around 180 men.

Friday, July 22 is the Bone Appétit Day 11:30 am – 2:00 pm. It’s a tasting luncheon featuring more than a dozen local restaurants and chefs, as well as local beer and wine. Plus: Browse and bid in the Silent Auction, take a guided tour of the farm, and meet the designers who transform stalls in the foaling barn into glamorous lounges.
Saturday, July 23 is the Freedom Fest Event, 5:30 – 11:00 pm. Catered buffet-style dinner, drinks, music and dancing, Live and Silent Auctions (American Pharoah items up for bid), guided farm tours, and two amazing raffles/give-aways: The Champagne Surprise (a week in a canal-front home in Cape Coral, Florida) and the Feeding Frenzy Raffle (several hundred dollars worth of gift certificates from area restaurants).

Bring a chair and enjoy Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer, adapted by Laura Eason & directed by Karen Hatter. It takes place at Ward Oates Amphitheater in Frankfort. The amphitheater is located at the end of Main Street & behind Liberty Hall. Admission is $5 per person at door & all the proceeds benefit the Capital City Museum.
The matinee performances will be hot! Patrons are encouraged to bring a canopy or an umbrella.
Concessions will be served an hour prior to curtain and at intermission.
